I have, etc., to refer to

my despatch No. 83 of the 15th of

February, enclosing a copy of a

letter from the War Office, forward-

ing a statements showing the cost

to Army funds of the Garrison of

Ceylon for the financial year 1931-32,

and the payments received from

Ceylon in respect of that period,

and to inform you that the Army

stated Council have intimated that it is

desirable that statements showing

the revenue of the Island, as

finally assessed for Military

Contribution, together with details

of the items deducted from the gross
